Criteria for awards given at the Greek Awards Banquet:

CHAPTER AWARDS
-
Chapter of the Year
- Meets all expectations of the Florida Greek Standards
- Demonstrates excellent Risk Management
- Free of discipline/sanctions from Greek Judicial board or any respective governing council
- Chapter GPA above most/all other chapters
- Great management of finances and in good standing with all bills owed to Greek organizations and the University
- Chapter delegate represented in leadership activities/retreats (i.e. Greek Advance, Greek Week)
- Active relationship with all advisors, house corporation, and governing council
- Timely submission of all reports (All Florida Greek Standards documents)

Outstanding Community Service Program
- Thoughtfulness of the project/program
- Creativity
- Integration of the S.E.R.V.E. model with the project
- Majority percentage of chapter attending
- Equal representation of chapter members (freshmen, sophomore, etc)

Outstanding Philanthropy

- Education of philanthropy/non-profit at event

Greek Person of the Year (one per each Greek council): displays efforts of utilizing Relational Leadership Model in personal leadership philosophy; practices the four values of the Florida Greek community as well as those of his/her individual chapter; represents the legacy of the honorary’s story; participation in chapter and council level leadership and Florida Greek community events
- UFC: Buddy McKay Award
- PC: Dr. Helen Marmachev Award
- MGC: William Santiago Award
- NPHC: Sam Taylor Award
- James E. Scott Living the Ritual Award: MUST have applied for respective council’s Greek person of the year award AND have been a semi-finalist to receive this
- Frank Maturo Outstanding Greek Scholar: MUST: display dedication to Scholarship; promote academic excellence on campus and in chapter; help with the creation of helpful programs/projects/policies
- Dr. Michael Bowie Greek Involvement Award: MUST have: a high level of involvement in various areas of the Florida Greek community; a high quality of leadership given to the positions; the promotion of being a Greek leader
- William E. Rion University Involvement Award: MUST have: a high level of involvement in various areas of the Florida Greek community; a high quality of leadership given to the position(s); the promotion of being a leader
- Frances Reitz Service Award: MUST: be dedicated to service; promote the need for service across chapter and community; create helpful programs/projects/policies; understand the importance of being an active citizen
- Outstanding New Member/Neophyte Award: MUST: show dedication to the Greek community values and respective chapter values; promote a healthy community-based new member process; understand the benefits of being a values-based Greek member
