Greek Conduct Committee

The Greek Conduct Committee (formerly known as the Greek Judicial Board) has jurisdiction to hear organizational cases in which a particular social sorority or fraternity is charged with violations of the Student Code of Conduct. The Greek Conduct Committee represents each of the four governing Greek councils (Interfraternity Council, Multicultural Greek Council, National Pan-Hellenic Council, and Panhellenic Council) and is comprised of elected Chairs (the Executive Vice Presidents of the four governing councils) and selected members from each of the four governing councils.

The Committee is responsible for hearing the case involving an alleged violation as well as submitting a written report to the Dean of Students containing findings of responsibility and recommended sanctions, if appropriate. If the accused sorority or fraternity is found responsible for the violation(s), the hearing body shall recommend one or more sanctions as provided in 6C1-4.016, University of Florida Regulations. The Dean of Students or designee reserves the right to adopt, reject or modify the Committee’s findings and recommendations or to remand the case back to a Committee.
