Point System

Greek Week delegates will be e-mailed the standings by midnight each night. The Greek Week Trophy is presented at the conclusion of field day on Sunday, March 2, 2008 at Norman Field.

Jersey Day – Thursday, February 28, 2008

Team members will be given points for participating in kick off activities from 11:00 pm to 3:00 pm in Turlington

• 5 points will be awarded per Greek Week shirt sold
• 1 point will be awarded for each team member who checks in wearing a sticker
• 5 points will be awarded for each team member who checks in wearing their team t-shirt
• 10 points will be awarded for each team that has a member who wins a competition between classes
• 25 points will be awarded to each team that hangs a banner outside a housed chapter
• Banners must be up by Wednesday, February 28 at 5:00 pm. (Each chapter is strongly encouraged to hang a banner. Points will only be awarded for one banner per team.)
• 50 additional points will be awarded to the team with the most creative banner as judged by the Office of Sorority and Fraternity Affairs

Case Study Competition – Thursday, February 28, 2008

Each team that participates will receive 50 points in addition to any points received for winning. Team members in attendance, other than those competing, will receive 2 points towards the team total.

Each team that participates will receive 50 points in addition to any points received for winning. Team members in attendance, other than those competing, will receive 2 points towards the team total.

Florida Greek Service Day – Saturday, March 1, 2008

Greek Field Games – Sunday, March 2, 2008

Event points are awarded in descending order with (1st place receives highest number of points and 8th place receives the lowest)

• Field games (not including Relay Race): 75, 70, 65, 60, 50, 40, 25
• "Torch" Relay Race: 250, 200, 100, 90, 80, 70, 50, 25

Point Deductions

Penalties will be assessed to teams as follows:

• -5 Not following rules set forth in packet
• -5 Unsportsmanlike conduct
• -10 Failure to show up for a registered event
