Service Chairs

Congratulations you have been elected or appointed to work with you chapter or council on its academic success. Part of your responsibility as service chair is to:

  1. promote academic excellence within your chapter
  2. attend regular training sessions conducted by the Academic Advising Center and the Office of Sorority and Fraternity Affairs. These training sessions may be in addition to any service roundtables that are conducted by your council service director/committee chair
  3. reward chapter members who are excelling academically
  4. provide resource for chapter members who are currently below your chapter/University grade requirement

Council Service Chairs

Each of the four governing councils has appointed service directors/committee chairs to assist service chairs in their endeavors. The service directors/committee chairs are responsible for:

  1. assisting chapters in their service endeavors
  2. serving as a liaison between the affiliate organizations, their governing council (IFC, MGC, NPHC, Panhellenic), and the Office of Sorority & Fraternity Affairs
  3. coordinating council service initiatives
