2007-08 Officers

On Monday, the National Pan-Hellenic Council held its elections for the 2007-08 school year. The officers for the 2007-08 Executive Board are as follows:

Don't Forget...

  1. Florida Greek Standards Paperwork is Due Monday, April 23, 2007. Check your chapter status here. Forms to document activities are available on the Resources PageNOTE: use the program/event form for all non-alcoholic socials, risk management programs, and alumni events.
  2. CSI Database Updates are Due Wednesday, April 25, 2007. Presidents need to make sure that all members are coded correctly. Members should be coded as follows:New Members: completed new member/intake  process this semester. Active Members: undergraduate members who are in good standing with the chapter and were initiated prior to Spring 2007 - This includes graduating seniors. Database Instructions
  3. Social Sorority and Fraternity Re-registration for the 2007-2008 academic school year closes on Wednesday, April 25. Forms will be available online and in the Center for Student Involvement. For more information check out the Annoucement on the OSFA website.
Game Day BBQ Meeting - April 19

Gator spirit IFC
The Office of Sorority & Fraternity Affairs in conjuction with IFC and Panehllenic will host a Game Day BBQ meeting immediately following the IFC/PC Joint Meeting on Wednesday April 19 at Pi Beta Phi. The purpose of this meeting will be to discuss changes to the permitting process for game day barbecues. Presidents are social chairs are required to attend.

The Office of Sorority and Fraternity Affairs has been reviewing and revising all rules and policies related to social sororities and fraternities. 

A meeting has been scheduled for Saturday, April 14, 2007 in JWRU room 286 to discuss the changes.  From 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM the meeting will focus on expansion, event guidelines and UF rules for sororities and fraternities.  From 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM the meeting will focus on house director and facility policies.

All Chapter Advisors, House Directors, and House Corporations are invited to attend this meeting. 
Kappa Summit Educates Young Men

Brothers from the Zeta Phi chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Lisa ClarkeInc. at the University of Florida held its first ever Leadership Summit as a part of the fraternity's 35th anniversary celebration.

More than 30 teenage black males from as far away as Tallahassee and Jacksonville attended the summit held Saturday, March 24, 2007 at the Auditorium on the UF campus to inform the teens of the college admissions process, health issues, entrepreneurship and the importance of being             self-motivated.



In the News: Rider Freshmen Dies in Drunk Driving Accident

Prosecutors and police were investigating whether hazing was involved in the death of an 18-year-old student at Rider University who, a day earlier, drank excessively at a fraternity party.
