  • Order of Omega Presents: Greek Week 2007
    Greek Week

The Order of Omega is very excited to present Greek Week 2007 at the University of Florida. The event has returned to UF after a four year hiatus. The Order of Omega's Greek Week is designed to unite the Florida Greek Community while promoting its four pillars; scholarship, service, leadership, and community.

Every Greek chapter has been placed on a team with chapters from different councils. In order to participate in the weeks events and earn points for your team one person from each chapter on the team must participate in the activity.

All chapters are encouraged to get in contact with the other chapters on their team prior to the week of events. Please email the chapter president to get the contact information of the chapter's delegate. Good luck to all the teams and thank you for your support in bringing back the tradition of Greek Week to the University of Florida.

Pictures for the Guide to the Florida Greeks

The Office of Sorority and Fraternity Affairs has begun working on the second edition of the Guide to the Florida Greeks. It is a 36-page brochure that will provide you with more information regarding the Florida Greek community.

We are currently collecting pictures to feature in the coming edition. We are looking for pictures from chapter events, philanthropies, service projects, Dance Marathon, Bid Day, Stepshow, etc. Please be sure there are no cups or inappropriate material in any of the pictures that are submitted. We would also like to request that only pictures taken with digital cameras and at least a 3.2 megapixel be submitted.

Thank you for your help. Please send all pictures to FloridaGreekPhotos@gmail.com.

    Rec Sports Reservation Policy

The Department of Recreational Sports (DRS) facilities are primarily for use by University of Florida (UF) students, faculty and staff. All requests are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. The earlier you turn in your request, the better your chances at reserving the facility. A minimum processing time of three weeks is required for all outdoor and indoor requests

The following are the guidelines for registered student organizations for reserving facilities:

    1. Obtain a Program Planning Form from the Office of Student Activities. This form must be filled out and submitted electronically at www.union.ufl.edu/sac/organizations.asp.
    2. After receiving tentative approval from the Office of Student Activities, print the facility request form found below. Please fill out the form in its entirety. Failure to fill out the form will prolong the process.
    3. Bring both the program planning form and the facility request form to room 140 of the Southwest Recreation Center. You do not have to see the Facilities Graduate Assistant to drop off the forms. You may leave them with the secretary in the main office or with the student staff.
    4. Notification of the decision will be emailed to the contact person whose information is provided on the facility request form.
    5. Please refer to section F below for additional conditions regarding reservations.
